The world's largest food event returns to Abu Dhabi from 26-28 November 2012

Between 21-23 November 2011, the world's largest network of food events returned to Abu Dhabi and brought together 466 exhibitors and over 9,700 trade visitors from 71 countries.

First launched in Paris in 1964, SIAL has developed into the largest network of professional food events world wide that collectively represent more than 9,300 exhibitors and attract over 216,000 visitors from 200 countries.    
          
SIAL Middle East features:

	The SIAL Middle East Exhibition 75% of the 2011 exhibitors have already re-booked for 2012, recognising SIAL Middle East as their strategic marketing tool to increase sales in the region.
	Innovations Observatory For the last 40 years, innovation has been part and parcel of SIAL Group events worldwide. In 2011, SIAL Middle East launched it's very own Innovations  Observatory and Awards ceremony.
	Hosted Buyers Programme 2011 saw the second meeting of the SIAL Purchasers Club, with 406 pre-qualified food and beverage buyers hosted for three days of one-to-one meetings with exhibitors.
	Industry Conferences A full programme of keynote speeches, panel debates, presentations and expert workshops ran in parallel with the exhibition. Conference topics included food retail, food security, nutrition and healthy food, business and marketing, trends and innovations, and seafood from Vietnam.
	The Grocery @ SIAL Middle East Following an announcement by ADFCA that it will be implementing new standards and regulations to modernise food retail outlets in Abu Dhabi, SIAL Middle East built a replica of a new ‘Baqala’ grocery store and host a series of workshops for store owners to explain the regulations and the best ways to implement them.
	La Cuisine by SIAL Organised by the Emirates Culinary Guild of Abu Dhabi, La Cuisine by SIAL  showcased the talent and artistry of hundreds of professional chefs as they compete under the watchful gaze of WACS approved judges across a variety of disciplines.
